Our Story

Randazzo Enterprises Inc. was founded by John Randazzo in 1969. In the late 1970s, before recycling was mainstream, John Randazzo began saving and recycling anything he could find to create the "Salvage Yard" at its previous location in Sand City, California. Eventually, he moved Randazzo Salvage to Castroville where it currently operates. Artisans, contractors, and DIYers pick through the old doors, chandeliers, windows, bathtubs, lumber, pipe, stone, brick, rock, and other treasures that John saved over the years. He took great pleasure in seeing his salvaged treasures find a new life in someone else's home or workspace. His passion for demolition and salvage and the love for his employees lasted throughout his lifetime. His children, Jona and Mark Randazzo now support, run, and grow the family business. Jona, now chief financial officer and office manager, and Mark, now president, heads Randazzo Enterprises Inc. and the Salvage Yard, working to salvage, recycle, and repurpose as many reusable materials as possible.
